Investing in the community for meaningful impact

Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to Southwest Washington extends beyond healthcare services. Through strategic community health investments, we’re making a meaningful impact on the well-being of our members and the local population.

Some of our initiatives include:

  • supporting medical respite services provided by SHARE and Lower Columbia Community Action Council
  • partnering with Medical Teams International to bring mobile health and dental services to underserved populations
  • ensuring access to health care for uninsured and under-insured people by funding Free Clinic of Southwest Washington and Community Health Partners

We also serve more than 135,000 members in Southwest Washington who need high-quality convenient care options. Other investments help us meet those needs.

In June, we opened the Kaiser Permanente Salmon Creek Surgery Center, formerly Advanced Endoscopy Center. This investment helps members get critical screenings like colonoscopies and endoscopies. The Salmon Creek Surgery Center is located at 2415 NE 134th Street in Vancouver, about a mile from our Salmon Creek Medical Office.

On July 9, we opened the Thurston Way Imaging Center, enabling us to provide more diagnostic services like mammograms, ultrasounds, and CT scans. Located near the Vancouver Mall, this stand-alone imaging facility brings advanced care closer to home for many members.
