Recognized for excellence

Through proactive screening, prevention, and early intervention, we help employees better manage chronic conditions and serious illnesses — or even avoid them altogether. In 2024, we led the nation as the top performer in 69 HEDIS® effectiveness-of-care measures — while the closest national competitor led in only 32.2

These measures include:

  • Prevention and screening
  • Comprehensive diabetes care
  • Mental health
  • Respiratory care

Proactive prevention, evidence-based treatment, and superior outcomes

We offer world-class prevention — powered by an electronic health record system that automatically alerts clinicians when members need lifesaving screenings, and empowers our coordinated care teams to catch problems earlier and start treatment faster.

And as one of the largest multispecialty groups in the country, our network of highly skilled doctors work together seamlessly to deliver exceptional treatment. That’s why Kaiser Permanente members are 20% less likely to lose years of life due to cancer, and 33% less likely to lose years of life due to heart disease.3

Equitable care and outcomes for all members

Many minority groups in the U.S. experience disparities in care that lead to worse health outcomes. At Kaiser Permanente, we’re deeply committed to changing that — and we’ve successfully eliminated disparities in cancer, cardiac, and pregnancy care: Nationally, we’re in the top 10% for timely prenatal care, and the top 25% for colorectal cancer screenings and controlling high blood pressure among Asian, Black, Latino, and white members.5
