Recent Billing Changes for KPIF Off Exchange Members
To better serve your clients who get individual coverage from Kaiser Permanente, you should know that we’ve made some recent billing changes.
New Payment System
Kaiser Permanente for Individuals and Families (KPIF) members in California enrolled in Off Exchange (direct) coverage must register for our new payment system to avoid having autopay discontinued and begin receiving paper bills. Impacted members have been contacted to ensure they are aware of the following actions they need to take:
- Register at kp.org/payonline and set up automatic payments to continue to have their premium drafted through autopay.
- Once their account is active, keep paperless billing active by updating their settings at kp.org/paperlessrenewals.
New Payment Address
KPIF members in California enrolled in Off Exchange (direct) coverage who pay their premium via mail have also been made aware that there is a new payment address:
Kaiser Permanente
P.O. Box 7158
Pasadena, CA 91109-7158
Individual Premium Bill Updates
In June, these members began receiving an enhanced premium billing statement with the following updates:
- A new summary table for Consolidated billing accounts that will display all primary and secondary subscriber Billing Unit IDs. Consolidated accounts will now have the ability to pay online and will require the primary account owner to register with the online payment portal at kp.org/payonline.
- A revised premium charges section that will reflect any past due amounts by month.
- A new payment mailing address if paying by check (as indicated above).
Members are receiving this insert with their bill to inform them of these changes.
