24/7 virtual care
Across the U.S., members can get 24/7 care and advice from Kaiser Permanente clinicians by phone or online. Care is tracked in their electronic health record at every step. To learn more visit kp.org/getcare

Nonurgent care
Members can always schedule in-person, phone, or video visits in states with Kaiser Permanente facilities, in California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C.

Urgent care
Members can get urgent care anywhere in the world. And outside Kaiser Permanente states, they’ll only pay their copay or coinsurance at the following locations — no need to file a claim later:

  • Cigna PPO Network*
  • MinuteClinic, including pharmacies
  • Concentra Urgent Care
  • NEW! The Little Clinic - Employees can now access in-person urgent care services, including labs and pharmacy where available, when traveling in states where Kaiser Permanente doesn't operate: (AZ, IN, KS, KY, OH, TN).
  • NEW! Access to an expanded network of retail pharmacies - Members traveling outside Kaiser Permanente states can fill commonly prescribed acute care prescriptions related to an urgent care visit at an expanded network of pharmacies, they’ll only pay their copay or coinsurance – without needing to file a claim.1

At all other locations, members can pay the full cost of care upfront and file a claim for reimbursement later.

Emergency care
No matter where members are, they can simply go to the nearest hospital emergency room. If it's a Kaiser Permanente location of Cigna PPO provider, they'll only pay their normal copay or coinsurance.

Travel support for your clients’ employees

  • The Kaiser Permanente mobile app – Members can easily access their digital ID card and other travel information while on the go

  • If they run out while traveling, they can get prescriptions filled at any retail pharmacy, pay up front for prescriptions, then file for a reimbursement after the trip.

1GA commercial members are required to pay up front and seek reimbursement for prescriptions. If employee is in a state that has Kaiser Permanente providers, but outside one of our service areas, the member pays upfront for services and prescriptions and will need to file a claim for reimbursement. Maintenance medications (e.g., blood pressure, cholesterol), high cost or specialty medications are not included in this benefit, and the member will need to file a claim for reimbursement. Reimbursement is subject to the pharmacy benefit as described in the members evidence of coverage or other coverage documents.
